IN MEMORIAM

This page is dedicated to all those cats and kittens we've loved and lost.  Nothing can erase their memory from our hearts, and, in that sense, they will live on forever.  Please send your photos to webmaster@cat-E-corner.com. .

Found your lovely website and would love you to put this poen in your In Memoriam Section.  Cat lovers of the world, Unite!

I suppose some would call it a perfect day -

Flowers scenting the air as in the breeze they sway

All vibrant with colour, a feast for the eye,

With the sun shining down from a cloudless blue sky.

I sit alone in the shade of your cherry tree,

My heart aching because you're not here with me.

You've been gone from us now for three long years,

Yet still I don't know how to stop the tears.

I try to be strong, for you were so brave,

But to see you again is all that I crave.

I just want you to know, wherever you are,

You're my special boy, precious love, no matter how far.

On rainbow bridge, one day, we'll be together again,

And your purrs of joy will then end my pain

Until then, darling Blue, no day is ever perfect,

If it's a day without you.

"My cat, Whiskers, had to be put to sleep on September 6th, 2002 as she was
very sick. We had her for almost l0 years and she was part of the family.  It was
devastating to have to put her to sleep, but I didn't want to see her suffer any more.
I was very attached to her and still miss her very much!  May she
rest in peace!" - Gail G.

I had a black cat that that had been with my family for almost 13 years.  She was all black except for under her neck.  She always loved to be around children and loved to be at home with me.  Her name was Cheslea.  She always knew her boundaries of where she could go and where was not allowed to go.  I miss her a lot I wish she would have stayed longer with me. - Rebecca, Ohio

This is our cat Baby's.  He was nine years old. He would sleep with us every night and loved to be in the bathroom when either one of us  was getting ready for work. He also loved to sit on one of our laps when we watched tv. He was a true lap cat and our very best friend. -  Marvin & Shannon, Ohio

"I Know Pepper!

I Know Pepper ...

Briskly moving across the hall, looks like a shadow, scares me at night.  In the morning when I go to school, he follows me, not wanting to leave.  He purrs, trying to distract me.  I stop, turn, and look, then pet him as I leave.

I know Pepper ...

A happy little cat.  His rough tongue licks my knee when I come back.  One day he was hiding under my mom's car.  When I finally got him out, he was bleeding really bad.  We brought him to the vet.  The Lady took him and said I had to say good-bye for he would soon be dead.  I kissed him, hugged him, and told him that I loved him.  He licked my hand and I knew that he was dying.  As I went home crying .

I knew Pepper ..."

(The above was sent by Alicia from Hillsboro, OR.  It was written by her 10-year old daughter.)

"My name is Hannah and I am 13 years old from the United Kingdom.  I do not have a scanner or a digital camera so I can't give you a photo of my cat, Katie, who was put to sleep on 1st May 2002.  She was 17 and very old and very ill and we really loved her but didn't want her to suffer.  I still miss her a lot and I would love it if you could post this in the 'In Memoriam' part of your website even though I cannot supply you with any photos.  Age 17 is very good for a cat and I want the site viewers to see how much I loved her. We are getting a new kitten soon but no one can replace my Katie.  Thank you for reading this." - Hannah, UK

"Smokey was 14 years old when he passed away on July 21st after a brief  illness. It was difficult having to say goodbye to our "little boy." He was very special in so many ways -- he is gone -- but will never be forgotten! We would like to think of him as now "laying in the lap of an angel." - Jeanne, Rick, Bandit, Bonnie & Clyde

"Beautiful, graceful Toby had such a sweet personality.  It was apparent in so many of the little things he did, like his gentle massages and loving companionship.  Toby passed away on April 15, 2000.  He was 11 years old.  Toby was very much loved and we will always miss him." - Stephanie and Jim, PA

"Below is a poem about my missed kitty, Rodey. I have loved and lost a lot of cats through the years but he was so very human and special!" - Julie M.

Rodey

You are in the arms of an angel,
You lay under a tree as millers and birds fly by,
You visit me often and see how much you were loved,
You know we will meet again,
Good-bye for now.

"Above are 'Tiger', on the left and 'Sandi', on the right. They were 'sisters' and were strictly indoor cats. They seemed very happy and content to live their lives inside without having to encounter the 'outside world'. Sandi was 19 years old when we had to have her put to sleep.  Tiger was 14 years old when she died. We enjoyed them so much and they added so much to our lives for the years they were with us!! Because of them....we will never be without cats!" - Jeanne

"Beckett" - You enriched our lives and not a day goes by that I don't think about you. - ML, New York

"HG Wells" - You taught us to love and respect the nature of cats.  We'll miss you.  - CJ, PA

"Othello" - We still can't figure out how you always knew which of us needed you at what particular time.  But you did - and you were always there.  We miss your purr, your warmth, and so much more.  Take care of all the other guys.  Until we cuddle again someday ...  - E & V
